…is the new theme for my upcoming market night in March on my facebook page…here’s one, My first Mermaid

Ocean – 16 inch
* $65 + postage
* Ocean’s hair has been lovingly sewing into place each strand at a time! The yarn is cotton and is multi colored varying from white to pale yellow, pale pink and baby blue. The flower clip in Ocean’s hair is removable
* Her face is handpainted: eyes features 2 navy teardrops at the two corners of her eyes and sparkely eye liner. Her eye brows have been machine embroidered with bright silver thread…
* Body fabric is are made of an out of print designer fabric and fin is thick and soft, quilting with silver thread
* Ocean is a gorgeous mermaid looking for a home ashore…

Also, I’ve given Irina a little makeover :

Irina – 15 inch
* 80$ (€60) + shipping
* her hair (long hence quite heavy) is two tone and so long I had to put it up so it is permanently styled.
*her face has been lovingly handpainted and eyelashes have been applied.
*her skirt is made on a pettiskirt pattern and has two layers that makes it full and lovely (skirt and shoes are removable). Both her top and skirt are sparkly
… * The skin fabric has been home dyed and can show signs of dye which gives her a fab vintage look
* Due to all these details, Irina is not intended for babies and young children. Irina’s happy to pose and look pretty
She’s ready to dance the night away!

Hi all, it’s been a while since I updated the blog to what I’m ‘really’ doing with my time lately…Doll making.

I got into it a little bit by chance, being a crafty person naturally curious about anything to do with sewing I purchase my first teddy bear pattern. I liked it but sewing furry fabric being a bit tedious and given that there’s a limit to customising options…I got my first ballerina stuffed doll pattern from www.dollsanddaydreams.etsy.com. And moved on from there really…

Now, I paint, sew, stuff, sew clothes and love it!! the sky’s the limit. Getting better with experience too, It’s a journey that I’ve undertaken and that I can’t see myself stopping anytime soon lol.

I started with felt hair dolls based on Wee bit of whimsy patterns (available here )….
