The first annual virtual craft show, see me there!

Lori Anderson from Pretty Things jewelry and blog is the brain behind the event. She’s already organized the famous Bead Soup Party ( in which I participated here and here). This time, it will be open to all kinds of crafters and artisans and not just jewelry designers. Here’s how it works:

For a whole week Nov 26-Dec 3, Lori’s Blog will be entirely dedicated to the show. Each page will be filled with designers and crafters and people will be able to click the links to the stores,  blogs, and take advantage of discounts (should they offer any), shop for things they HAVE TO HAVE NOW, and comment on things they really, really want. And they’ll be a draw for each prize posted on the blog.

So make a note of the dates in your diary and during that week come and have a look at loads of talented crafty people’s creations…there’ll be plenty of prizes to win and discounts to be had!

I’ve personally got a prize to giveaway, so come and join us on the day

see you there ^_^

BSP Giveaway Result!

Well Ladies, It is Saturday and it’s already been a week since the Bead Soup Party (scroll down for previous post). It’s been a gigantic blog hop party, 210 participants! It took me 3 days to go around all the blogs!

So here’s my giveaway, a lavender and lime polka dots coin purse with ring holder (to use it as a jewelry case instead of a coin purse if you wish)

102 comments (and more still coming as I write) , 51 blog followers and 83 fans on facebook…

That makes it 236 entries…(Biggest ever giveaway for me!!)

so the winner who was drawn is Julianna Cannon!

(Please contact me Julianna to let me know your shipping address)

Thank you so much to all the participants and look forward to the next BSP starting in August

Bead Soup Party Reveal AND Giveaway

*Glad you could make it! This is a long post with loads of pictures, read till the end for the Giveaway*
Beaders were paired up with other jewelry designers and tasked with sending a focal, a special clasp and coordinating beads.
My partner is Rachel from Balanced and the organizer of this BSP is Lori from Lori Anderson Designs.
Thanks a million to you Both!

Here‘s what I received:

A very earthly selection with blue crystals…blues, browns, ecrus…nice! (see more pictures here) Unusual for me as I do more colorful and lampwork and sterling silver Jewellery. Unfortunately, when Wire wrapping the handcrafted pendant, here’s what happened:

N o t     g r e a t.

So I had to rethink my piece ( using one of Rach’s lentil beads as pendant) and came up with TWO pieces. Hope you like…

I made all the copper links myself. Not bad considering I’d never used copper before in my life.

And added a cute little porcelaine birdie..

‘Copper Bird Song Necklace’

 and my second piece…

An interchangeable watch bracelet…
So hope you liked what you saw!
Now, here’s my Giveaway:
A  Lavender polka dots framed coin purse with matching ring holder to use as a jewelry case (if you prefer as opposed to a coin purse).
**Obviously, rings are not included lol**
I will be making more of these lovelies soon. Photos of sold purses here and here

The Bead Soup Party Ingredients I received

…From Balanced. I know, I have had them for a couple of weeks now. However waiting for a bit of sunshine in this part of the world to take pictures takes like forever. So in the end, I decided to stuck them on the kitchen counter, juggling between a rubbish camera and a non existing light lol.

Here they are…Thank you Rach for giving me the opportunity to challenge myself : I have never used copper before and I’ve been meaning to give it a go for ages, so that’s great !

Beaded bead, round quartz beads, resin lentils

 Stone beads

swarovski and czeck crystals, handcrafted pendant

Handmade copper toggle

See here the bead selection I sent to Rachel and you can actually check out what other BSP goers have sent here on Flicker

Bead Soup Party reveal on the 26th February!! Stay tuned…

The Bead Soup Party has begun : the selection I sent

Thanks to Lori from www.PrettyThingsBlog.com and www.LoriAnderson.net who is the brain behind the Bead Soup Party Swap (please click on the link below right to know more about it ) I am now in the game and have been assigned a partner. And guess what?? I have been assigned to a fellow Etsy Ireland Team jewelry artist : Rachel from www.balancedcrafts.com. She is so talented, it’s a pleasure to work alongside Rach. In fact I’ve already done so during the ATC Etsy Ireland swap!

Here are the lovelies I sent Rach…Straight from my own stash. The focal is from one of my favorite lampwork artist, but each single lampwork bead here has been lovingly handmade by an artisan. Great quality and care. Love the colours. There’s more pictures (and really well taken) by Rachel here.

The toggle is sterling silver and I added amethyst swarovski crystals…Just as well I remembered to take pictures before I sent off the beads,  only minutes before heading to the post office!

Stylish Blogger award!

Wow, I just been awarded Stylish Blogger Award (*^_^*) by Carrie from Cherry Blossom Tattoo. It’s very kind of her and it’s really motivating me to improve the blog and posts as much as I  can. I’m looking forward to the new year to start afresh as it were as 2010 has been a very difficult and emotinal year all around with : adjusting to a new baby, lack of sleep, death in the family and work worries due to dreadful weather this winter. But then, everybody seems to have had a tough year!

Anywho, I would like to introduce talented Carrie to you:

Carrie is a photographer from Nothern Ireland and has an Etsy shop where she sells gorgeous prints and handmade brooches. I actually have the privilege to own a CherryBlossomTattoo original print and I follow her cute blog here. Thank you so very much Carrie for passing this lovely award on to me. Now here is my turn to follow the rules and pass the award on :

♥ Thank and link back to the person who awarded you

♥ share 7 things about yourself

♥ Pay it forward to 15 bloggers you like (but 3, 5 or any number is ok!)

♥ Contact those bloggers about the award!

So 7 things about me….(wow, it’s been a few minutes and I still haven’t got anything extraordinary to tell you about me…stuck here lol)

♥ ok, we’ve got a 2.5 year old dog called Coco that I picked when she was 3 weeks old
♥ I’m longing for the sun right now and a bit homesick…I wish I were home in southern France

♥ I absolutely love anything ‘Chestnuts’ especially Iced chesnuts called in French ‘marrons glaces’

♥ I used to paint, with acrylics mostly

♥ Eating pasta every single day would be absolutely no problem to me, I love it!

♥ I got married when I was 23

♥ I used to be a window cleaner

I wish to pass on the Stylish blogger award to…….
